  • bái zhú 60g Strengthen spleen, augment qi. Reinforces Huang Qi, strengthens metal by cultivating earth. Cited as an herb to stop sweating. Jun + Chen generate qi by tonifying the Spleen, which is the source of qi and blood.

  • fáng fēng 30g Circulates in the exterior where it expels wind. Does not damage the fluids, which might injure the lungs. With Huang Qi, stabilizes the exterior withoug causing evils to linger, and expels evils without harming the normal qi. An example of "dispersing while tonifying."
